Placement checklist

This is a list of what I should look out for at my work experience at Darwen high school.

·         Body language (how they keep the attention of the children)

·         How they dress/ what colours they wear

·         How they talk to the children (such as what tone they use in different situations)

·         Make the classroom enjoyable/ inviting

·         Keep the children keen

·         How much eye contact they give the children

·         How they react to the children that need discipline (how they address it)

·         What happens when technology doesn’t work ( such as computers, power points, sounds)

·         How they get the children to take notes (books, worksheets, loose paper, colour paper)

·         Do they use group work and they find it useful in the classroom
